Lazers seal second place with a win

TEAMWORK: Ryley Hughes was strong in defence. A team effort meant Lazers were ahead 45 to 40 at half-time and 69 to 64 at the end of third.

LITHGOW LAZERS put in their best team effort to defeat Wagga Wagga Heat 90 to88 in a close game, sealing second placein Pool Aof the Waratah Division 1 Men’s league. The first half saw Lazers’ Issac Mack bring his A Game, inspiring his team mates withsteals, fast breaks andgreat shooting.

Jaidyn Goodwin’s defence on Wagga’s import player (and the League’s highest scorer) Gage Day was outstanding,sustaininghimforthewholegame.Jaidynhadagreatgamescoringaswell.Lazers’captainAdamMarjoramledbyexample,withgreatthreepointshootingandstrongdefence.
